Valley Skills for Life takes a person- centred approach to enable Participants develop the skills they need to increase their independence and participate as valued and active members of the community.
We work with each individual to design a program of activities to work towards achieving their goals. Participants are encouraged to discuss what is important to them in their lives and choose activities and development opportunities that will bring them happiness and self-esteem.
We offer a wide range of centre-based activities – including classes for Art & Craft, Music & Dancing, Reading & Literacy, Budgeting, Woodwork, Cookery, and activities such as Ten Pin Bowling, Walking, Swimming and Horse-riding. As well as activities that are based within the local community
These flexible and stimulating range of services are offered to people with disability of all ages from 5 to 105. NDIS support ratios from 2:1 to 1:5 mean that a full range of support needs are catered for.
Our facilities in Taree and Tuncurry are the best in the region. Sensory rooms, craft hubs, a theatre room and computer hub are complemented with a commercial kitchen and dining hall. We welcome the opportunity to show off our facilities to any interested Participants or carers.
