Gilbert has served on the Board as Treasurer since 2006.  Gilbert runs a local book-keeping business and is key to Board oversight, particularly on issues relating to technical business obligations, but also has a keen insight into business conditions for Valley Industries’ local suppliers and partners.

Gilbert brings a lived experience of disability to the Board, suffering a spinal cord injury in his 20’s which required the use of a wheelchair. 

Gilbert’s development of two successful local businesses has strong parallels with Valley’s belief in the importance of employment to the success of people with a disability.  Gilbert is also a long-serving Director of Taree Leagues Club.
